Travel the world this winter with Maumee Valley Adventurers and Metroparks Toledo. Each Saturday in January, February and March, a different, local speaker presents photos and narrative from his or her work travel adventure.
Programs begin at 2:15 p.m. Come at 1 p.m. for a walk. Free.
Locations alternate every between Oak Openings Lodge at Oak Openings Preserve, 5440 Wilkins Road, Whitehouse, and the Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Preserve, 4830 W. Central Avenue, Toledo.

Five Groups Work Together To Improve Cycling For Everyone

Maumee Valley Adventurers, a local group known for hosting bike tours and travel-related programs, is seeking applications for grants to support initiatives that further the group’s healthy lifestyle mission.

MVA is pleased to award a grant for $100 to Jasmond Young, a University of Toledo student, to assist with expenses for a study abroad program. A junior studying marketing and entrepreneurship, Jasmond will travel to Japan for three weeks, where she will visit Tokyo, Toyohashi and Kyoto. Look for Jasmond to share stories from her adventure in an upcoming Travel Circle presentation and article on our website.

Maumee Valley Adventurers has awarded a $1,000 grant to Safe Kids Greater Toledo to help continue the program’s youth bicycle education efforts. The grant will pay for bike helmets, supplies and staff time to coordinate three bike rodeos.
